The Cooper Zeon CS-Sport summer tire is the flagship model of the well-known North American brand. This model is designed exclusively for powerful high-speed passenger cars. This is evidenced not only by the high speed indices Y and W, but also by the size range, which includes several dozen sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 18 and 19 inches.
Extremely precise and fast reactions to the steering wheel
Since this model belongs to the Ultra High Performance category, it's no surprise that during its development, special attention was paid to ensuring maximum stability when driving at high speeds. This was achieved thanks to a number of original and not very technical solutions.
First of all, it is the carcass, which has been strengthened with two layers of viscose. Their presence allowed to significantly increase its resistance to dynamic deformation. At the same time, the lightness of the used synthetic materials ensured a reduction in the weight of the tire.
Another factor that gave the sports tire Cooper Zeon CS-Sport its corresponding manageability was the very wide longitudinal rib, located in the center of the asymmetric directional tread pattern. It is a solid, uninterrupted element throughout its length, characterized by high structural rigidity. In combination with two viscose layers, this technical solution allowed not only to significantly improve the directional stability but also to make the tire's reactions to steering wheel turns lightning-fast. This noticeably simplified the process of managing the car.

Despite belonging to the UHP category, this model has a fairly good level of comfort, primarily acoustic. When driving, its tread generates a minimum of noise and vibrations. This was made possible largely due to the closed design of the shoulder areas and the arrangement of tread elements with different pitches relative to each other. Together, this resulted in a significant reduction in resonant noise and vibrations, allowing the tire to demonstrate a good level of ride comfort.
TRI-ARC profile
When presenting this tire, representatives of the North American manufacturer particularly noted the very even distribution of external pressure across the contact patch. This is largely due to the special shape of the profile, which even got its own name TRI-ARC. It partially reveals its key feature, which is the use of three different radii.
The multi-radius profile provided the tire with a number of important advantages. First of all, it is a significant increase in the contact patch. It is also impossible not to note the stability of its size, regardless of the characteristics of the road surface and the mode of movement. The practical result of this technical solution was very reliable and predictable handling, which, in turn, led to a significant increase in the level of safety when driving at high speeds.

Another original technical solution that found application in this model was the rubber compound. The use of the latest materials and technologies made it possible to give it unique characteristics, which allow the tire to demonstrate excellent traction on wet and dry roads, with excellent resistance to abrasive wear, punctures, and cuts.
