Description Cooper Discoverer ATP
Released by the most famous North American manufacturer, the Cooper Discoverer ATP is a universal light truck tire designed for installation on passenger cars with increased cross-country ability, as well as for SUVs and pickups. According to the manufacturer, this tire is intended for those who have 60% of car operation on paved roads and 40% - off-road.
The external appearance of the non-directional symmetric tread pattern contains all the features inherent in universal tires. The tread pattern of the Cooper Discoverer ATP tire consists of three central ribs and two shoulder zones. The central rib is distinguished by a solid structure and zigzag edges. This made it possible to reduce rolling resistance, thereby improving fuel efficiency. In addition, the solid structure of the rib made it possible to significantly improve the handling stability and reduce the response time to steering.
Two ribs, also located in the central part of the tread, consist of many separate massive blocks with a quadrangular shape. This made it possible to provide the tire with worthy cross-country ability when driving on unstable soils and deep snow. In addition, thanks to the carefully selected distance between all elements of the tread pattern, it was possible to provide a large contact area of the tire and the efficiency of cleaning the tread from dirt, stones and other foreign objects, not to mention water and snow slush.
