The Contyre Vegas summer light vehicle tire is one of the latest developments from a domestic manufacturer. This model is designed primarily for compact light vehicles. Unfortunately, its size range is limited to one size, 195/50R15, which somewhat limits its scope of application.

Asymmetric Tread Pattern

This model is the result of close cooperation with several European companies, as evidenced by the tread pattern, which has an original asymmetric design. It consists of three functional zones that have significant differences in size and structure due to their functional purpose.

The central part of the Contyre Vegas tread is occupied by huge arrow-shaped blocks separated by wide drainage grooves. Thanks to this design of the central part, the tire has acquired a number of important qualities. First and foremost, it is precise and transparent handling, ensured by the high resistance of these blocks to dynamic deformation that occurs during movement. Additionally, the size of the contact patch, which has become maximum due to the massiveness of the blocks, cannot be ignored. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent traction on dry asphalt.

Another pleasant feature of this model is its very high resistance to aquaplaning. It is provided by a carefully thought-out drainage system, in which water moves according to a pre-determined scheme - from the inner part of the tread to its outer side. At the same time, the combination of large sizes with a curved shape of the drainage grooves made it possible to significantly increase the speed of water circulation through them. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent traction even on very wet roads.
