The Continental TrueContact Tour summer tire is a universal model that is equally well-suited for use in both urban conditions and on high-speed highways. It is characterized by reliable handling on wet surfaces, effective braking, low noise levels, smooth ride, and extended service life.
The tire's tread is made from the Silane+ rubber compound, which has proven itself in the German manufacturer's all-season tires. This compound is distinguished by a very wide range of "working" temperatures, maintaining optimal elasticity in both summer heat and winter cold. The compound, thanks to the presence of special polymers, gives the tread increased wear resistance, increasing the tire's mileage.
The tread pattern is executed in a symmetrical design, featuring a "winter" density of lamella cuts. Their curved, elongated, and multidirectional edges provide more stable traction on wet surfaces. The wide longitudinal grooves in these conditions effectively prevent aquaplaning, not allowing the formation of a continuous water film in the contact patch. The ribbed profile of the vertical groove walls further enhances this feature.
Another important feature of the tire is the profile of its tread. In the central part, it is almost flat, and in the shoulder zones, it has significant rounding, where several radii of curvature are used. This design not only expands the contact patch but also optimizes its shape, ensuring a maximally even distribution of pressure on the road surface, even during dynamic maneuvering. This noticeably stabilizes traction, providing ease of handling, and also prevents rapid tread wear, increasing the tire's mileage.
