The Continental ContiWinterContact TS 810 winter passenger tire was specifically designed for the complex climatic conditions of European winters, which are characterized by significant and frequent temperature fluctuations around zero degrees. This premium-segment tire is available in more than three dozen sizes, ranging from 185/65R15 to 225/45R17. Such a wide range of sizes implies a fairly broad applicability of this tire to many modern models of passenger cars of various classes.

Since the tire is intended for operation in the most diverse conditions, the German tire manufacturers preferred to equip it with an asymmetric directional tread pattern. Thanks to this solution, it was possible to achieve excellent universality. The tread of the Continental ContiWinterContact TS 810 tire consists of four longitudinal ribs, divided by wide grooves. The large width of the grooves and the depth of the tread allow a lot of snow to be pressed into the tread, which significantly improves traction on snowy surfaces.

Another feature of the tread of this model is the combination of several types of lamellas, each of which is designed for specific conditions. At the same time, all lamellas are additionally equipped with special dividers that do not allow their walls to close tightly when in contact with the road surface. This original solution allowed increasing the efficiency of the tire's drainage system when driving on snow by 20%.

Another innovation was the new rubber compound, specially created for this model. Its composition includes polymers of a new generation, which significantly improved the basic characteristics of the tire when driving not only on snow but also on wet asphalt. The inclusion of active technical carbon in the composition of the mixture increased the geometric stability of the tread, which improved the directional stability. In addition, the composition of the rubber compound includes reactive softeners designed to maintain the elasticity of the tire at the initial level throughout its entire service life.
