The summer tire Continental ContiSportContact 5 SUV ContiSilent is a special version of the same model for crossovers and SUVs. The key difference is a higher level of acoustic comfort, achieved through the use of ContiSilent technology, which is reflected in the name of this tire.

The essence of this technical solution is the use of a thin layer of polyurethane foam on the inside of the tire. The synthetic material has a low weight and a highly porous structure. The numerous voids effectively absorb the sound waves that occur when the tires roll, which significantly reduces the noise inside the car.

The composition of the BlackChili rubber compound has been specially modified for this tire, taking into account the features of operation in crossovers and SUVs. The compound has increased resistance to uneven wear. In other respects, it is identical to its original versions, distinguished by its ability to heat up during braking and reduce rolling resistance during steady movement.

In addition to the rubber compound, the effectiveness of braking is ensured by the 45-degree angle of the block edges. This reduces the deformation of the elements, which increases the stability of the traction properties.
