The tread pattern features several important characteristics. One of them is the elongated transverse edges of the blocks in the shoulder areas. These allow for effective acceleration and braking on snowy surfaces. Another feature of the tread pattern is the presence of numerous lamellas. The densely spaced notches have saw-toothed pointed edges, and their vertical walls have a three-dimensional profile that fixes the lamellas in the open position when in contact with the road surface, while limiting the mobility of the blocks.
