The Bridgestone Potenza S-03 ESO3 summer tire was specifically designed for powerful and high-speed vehicles. The development of this model widely used technologies that were previously used only in Formula 1 racing. As a result, it was possible to obtain a tire with the highest technical characteristics.
Japanese tire engineers equipped the tire with a V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern, which, like tires in the ultra-high performance category, has an aggressive exterior. The design of this model uses a number of interesting technical solutions that are part of the innovative Uni-T AQ II technology.
This technology consists of a number of technological components. The Flat Force Block technology provides a stable and reliable handling character when moving in different modes due to the uniform stiffness of all tread blocks. Thanks to the O-Bead II technology, the sidewall of the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 ESO3 tire takes on a shape resembling the letter "O" when moving, which made it possible to significantly increase softness and comfort.
The Super L.L. Carbon technology involves changing the formula of the tread rubber mixture by lengthening the carbon chains. Thanks to this innovation, it was possible to minimize the risk of microscopic cracks in the tread, which made it possible to significantly increase the tire's wear resistance. In addition, when creating the rubber mixture, the AQ Compound II technology was used, which included a new component that improved the elasticity of the tread due to the ability to vulcanize rubber at the micro level.
Main features of the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 ESO3 tire
- Unique V-shaped design of the symmetrical directional tread pattern provided phenomenal traction and excellent handling in all conditions;
- The Uni-T AQ II technology gave the tire exceptional operational and technical characteristics;
- The wide central rib, due to its high structural rigidity, provided excellent directional stability and instant response to steering wheel turns;
- The uniform distribution of load across the contact patch made it possible to improve handling in all driving modes;
- Excellent resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the high efficiency of the drainage system.
