The Bridgestone Potenza re760 sport summer tire, like other models in this line, is designed for "charged" versions of passenger cars. It differs from its other representatives in its much better adaptability to everyday use on public roads, demonstrating, in addition to sporty handling, good smoothness and acoustic comfort for this category of tires.
A significant part of the technical solutions used in this model were borrowed from sports tires for road circuit racing. First of all, this is the tread profile, which is made flat almost throughout its area, with the exception of narrow strips of the tread along its edge. This increases the contact patch of the tire with the road, maintaining its area and shape even under significant influence of multidirectional acceleration forces. As a result, the grip properties and their stability are enhanced, which greatly simplifies control over the car when driving at high speed. It is worth noting the presence of massive blocks on the edges of the tread pattern, which, due to their resistance to deformation and large size, significantly increase the directional stability, preventing uneven wear of the tread, which increases the life of the tire. Among other elements of the tread pattern, a wide double longitudinal rib stands out, shifted closer to the inner edge. This element provides, along with stable grip during straight-line movement, fast and precise reactions of the tire to turns of the steering wheel. In turn, the sickle-shaped blocks located closer to the outer edge of the pattern demonstrate the greatest efficiency when passing turns, increasing the useful area of the tread.
