The Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 5000 winter tire is a replacement for the previous Bridgestone model, the Bridgestone WT-17.
The tread width and number of stud rows have been increased. The previous Bridgestone WT-17 model had 4 rows, while the Ice Cruiser 5000 now features 6 rows of studs. The tire's snow performance has been improved due to the ribbed edges and zigzag-shaped block edges.
Key differences of the Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 5000 from the studded tires of the previous generation of Bridgestone:
1. The tread has become even wider.
2. The contact patch with the surface has increased by 16 percent.
3. The number of stud rows has been increased from 4 to 6.
4. The use of 3D lamellas.
5. The stiffness of the blocks has been increased by 10 percent.
