The Blacklion Winter Tamer W506 winter tire is designed for medium-sized passenger cars. It is characterized by stable traction on slippery winter surfaces and the possibility of additional reinforcement by installing studs.
The tread pattern features a large solid arrow-shaped rib in the center. This is two rows of sharply angled blocks rigidly connected to each other by a longitudinal "bridge". This solution simultaneously improves several ride qualities of the tire - steering accuracy, directional stability, and longitudinal traction on snow. The protrusions formed by the central rib edges are continued by blocks in the shoulder areas. Their large length, inclination, and arcuate shape provide high traction force and braking efficiency. On icy and wet surfaces, the tire's efficiency is ensured by thousands of self-locking lamellae forming a corresponding number of sharp edges. The contact patch is additionally dried by special "micro-pumps" that capture and retain excess moisture.
