DescriptionDescription BFGoodrich G-Force Winter 2 SUV
The BFGoodrich G-Force Winter 2 SUV winter tire for SUVs and crossovers is a modified version of the same model for passenger cars. The key differences from the "original" are the reinforced frame design and increased contact patch size. It's also worth noting that this model, like the tire it's based on, is designed for use on paved roads.
The tread pattern of this model features two types of lugs - straight and wavy. The central part features straight lugs. These elements improve the tire's efficiency when accelerating, providing a contact patch with numerous transverse grip edges. In addition, they further improve resistance to aquaplaning.
The wavy lugs located in the shoulder areas of the tread are directed at a sharp angle, which allows them to prevent skidding when maneuvering and braking simultaneously. Moreover, due to their shape, their walls limit the mobility of blocks in the transverse direction, which has a positive effect on handling.
Key features of the BFGoodrich G-Force Winter 2 SUV tire
- the tire is designed with winter climate conditions in Central and Western Europe in mind;
- the directional V-shaped tread pattern with wide and numerous drainage grooves is effective in complex weather conditions;
- the increased number of tread blocks provides the tire with excellent performance on snow;
- two types of lugs improve grip and handling on slippery surfaces;
- the reinforced frame design increases the tire's load capacity, and also gives its behavior stability and reliability.

The Dark Horse - Goodyear for Central European Winters (specifically this model from 2016). I haven’t tested it in our region and got to know about it only from the German ADAC test in 2017, where they tested winter tires with a diameter of 16 for 4x4s in the size of 215/65. I relied on the Germans, and I think I made no mistake. According to the Germans’ results, the Go

Overall, everything is fine. On ice - not quite stable. However, in snow and slush, they perform well (although the tire is not entirely off-road and I have four-wheel drive anyway...). First season of operation, we'll see further. In the spring, we'll check for "squareness". The tires feel sturdy.

The tire's tread depth is two millimeters less than Bridgestone's, the rubber is soft, the manufacturer is Romanian, and the tire is brand new, which is certainly a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the tires' sidewalls are very thin to the touch, similar to Bridgestone, but it feels like the Romanians were a bit too generous with the rubber, so I hope they'll hold up well in service. Since they're winter tires, they'll be subject to lighter loads
