Description BFGoodrich Advantage SUV
The BFGoodrich Advantage SUV summer tire is installed on crossovers and SUVs. It is recommended by the manufacturer for use exclusively on asphalt roads. It is a modified version of the same-name "passenger" model with a modified frame and sidewall design, adapting the tire to use in vehicles with a higher center of gravity and increased weight. It is characterized by increased braking intensity on wet surfaces, precise handling at high speeds, and a comfortable, quiet and smooth ride on rough roads.
The tread pattern is distinguished by an asymmetrical arrangement of elements. This gives the tire's operational properties balance. Another feature of the tread design is the presence of a large number of elongated transverse edges formed by sharp edges, both of blocks and lamellas. This increases the longitudinal traction properties, especially on wet surfaces. It is worth noting the presence in the central part of four volumetric longitudinal drainage grooves. This minimizes the risk of aquaplaning even at high speeds. Efficiency on dry surfaces is ensured by several features. One of them is the optimized profile of the tread part of the tread. As a result, the tire under load touches the road surface over a larger area. The stiffness of the blocks and breaker strips under the tread gives the contact patch a square shape and ensures its preservation when exposed to multidirectional acceleration forces. This significantly improves traction and its stability during maneuvering.
Key Features of BFGoodrich Advantage SUV
- asymmetric arrangement of tread elements provides the tire with balanced operational properties;
- increased length of transverse edges allows for effective implementation of traction and braking effort on wet surfaces;
- optimized tread profile and pattern increase the contact patch.
