BFGoodrich Activan

Released worldwide by the famous North American manufacturer, the summer tire BF Goodrich Activan is designed for use on minibuses and other small-capacity passenger and cargo vehicles.

The symmetric tread pattern of the tire features four wide ribs that provide the tire with low rolling resistance, which contributes to reduced fuel consumption. Additionally, the wide ribs increase the tire's contact area, thereby improving its basic performance and also improving the tire's durability due to a more even distribution of external loads.

To combat aquaplaning, the tread pattern of the tire features three longitudinally arranged grooves designed for rapid and efficient removal of water from the tire's contact patch with the surface, which improves traction on wet roads and also reduces stopping distance.

Furthermore, to enhance traction performance on wet surfaces, the tire's tread is equipped with a multitude of wavy-shaped lamellas. The enlarged shoulder areas of the tread increase the tire's resistance to uneven wear and effectively combat deformation. The transverse grooves located in the shoulder areas of the tread divide the shoulder areas into separate blocks, which improve traction on slippery surfaces.

Considering the specific application of the BFGoodrich Activan tire, its sidewalls have a reinforced two-layer construction, and their rounded profile contributes to the responsiveness of the tire to steering wheel turns. The tire's rubber compound is selected with consideration for the high mileage typical of commercial operation and contains exclusively high-quality components, endowing the tire with a long service life.
