The Belshina Bel-168 truck tire is one of the novelties of the well-known Minsk manufacturer. Compared to its numerous predecessors, this model is distinguished by higher technical characteristics, primarily fuel efficiency and wear resistance. This was achieved through the use of modern technologies and materials in its design. In addition, it is perfectly suited for operation on MAZ brand buses, for which it was specifically developed. However, the universal size of 245/70R19.5 provides it with excellent applicability, as it can be installed on almost any similar equipment.

Reduced rolling resistance and extended service life
One of the main innovations of this model is the all-steel carcass. The use of steel cord with increased density of thread arrangement in its design made it possible not only to increase the tire's carrying capacity but also to significantly reduce its heat generation during high-speed driving. This had a positive effect on the preservation of the Belshina Bel-168 tread and fuel consumption.

Steel cord is also used in the manufacture of the breaker, located directly under the tread. This "substrate" is characterized by very high rigidity, which also had a positive effect on a number of operational characteristics. Most of them are a direct consequence of the increased contact patch size and its square shape. On the one hand, this improves traction and handling, and on the other hand, it prevents uneven wear and reduces rolling resistance.

Universal tread pattern of Belshina Bel-168

Being designed for buses, this model is suitable for operation on any axis of such equipment. The universality of application is achieved due to the tread pattern. It contains five wide longitudinal ribs, each of which contains many individual blocks. Those located in the central part at a sharp angle and having a complex shape with rounded corners. Such a design, on the one hand, increases the longitudinal traction and adhesion properties, and on the other hand, reduces rolling resistance and noise level.

In turn, the blocks of the shoulder zones are characterized by a location almost at a right angle and a shape close to trapezoidal. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates high efficiency during deceleration, as well as during maneuvering. In addition, such a shape of the blocks further increases the resistance to uneven wear.
