In Yaroslavl, testing of seven serial tires produced by OAO "Belshina" and one more that has not yet been launched into production is underway. We are talking about experimental samples of the Belshina Atrmotion Snow Premium (PW-12) winter passenger tire, one of the models with which the company will enter the premium segment.

"Their effectiveness on snow and ice is being checked as part of a unique laboratory-road testing program at our request," said Anton Skvoznikov, head of the laboratory-road and certification testing bureau of the OITC ITs "Belshina", whose words are cited by "Shinnik". "Plus, a standard program of certification tests is provided. This is a winter stage for such a model. A summer stage is also planned. In case of positive results, these tires will be put into serial production."

Five truck tires were also sent for testing: Bel-298, Bel-208, Bel-195, Bel-168 and Bel-538 from such lines as Escorterra, Forcerra and Escorterra Owntrack Exclusive, commercial Bel-143 and passenger all-season Artmotion All Seasons (Bel-412).

"The tasks of the bureau include conducting procurement based on received requests, selecting a contractor, concluding contracts, providing selected sets of tires to the contractor," Skvoznikov noted. "Such tests are carried out in third-party organizations. In this case, at the tire testing center of LLC "Shinnyy Ispytatelnyy Tsentr "Vershina" in Yaroslavl."

According to the requests of the tire design and construction department (UPKSH) and the central factory laboratory (CZL) of "Belshina", the tires sent to Russia are being tested for effectiveness on snow in accordance with UN Regulation No. 117, and in case of positive results and certification, the sidewalls of the tires will be marked with a mountain and snowflake image (3PMSF), known as the "Alpine symbol". Obtaining this marking means that the tires are able to provide a high level of traction on snowy roads.

Tests in Russia are expected to continue until spring, but already now a preliminary notification of positive test results of Bel-538 and Bel-143 tires has been received.
