A characteristic feature of the tread pattern of this tire is the presence of separate functional zones, each of which is designed to solve a certain set of tasks. In fact, there are three of them - the central part, consisting of three longitudinal ribs, and two shoulder zones, also representing two longitudinal ribs.
In the very center of the Barnaul Forward Arctic 700 tread, there is a very wide rib with zigzag edges. Since it has no breaks throughout its length, this tread element has high structural rigidity. This made it possible to significantly improve directional stability, as well as reduce the reaction time of the tire to steering wheel control, making handling more precise and predictable. The zigzag edges, in turn, form additional grip edges, which improve grip on slippery surfaces.
