DescriptionDescription Armstrong Tru-Trac SU
The Armstrong Tru-Trac SU summer tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of SUVs and crossovers. Accordingly, this model demonstrates its greatest efficiency exclusively on asphalt roads with good surface quality. In such conditions, it stands out with improved traction and coupling properties, increased handling precision, fuel efficiency, and good ride smoothness.
One of the key features of the tire is the sidewall design. They contain deformation zones, which increases ride smoothness without compromising handling and traction. Also worth noting is the tread profile, which significantly increases the contact patch, making it wider and almost square. This noticeably improves both traction and handling, reducing wear at the same time.
Main features of Armstrong Tru-Trac SU
- increased contact patch improves traction and handling, slows down wear;
- lamellas on the inner ribs improve traction and coupling properties on wet surfaces, preventing the development of uneven wear;
- optimized sidewall design provides excellent ride smoothness even on rough roads.

I bought Prado 150 instead of Dunlop 25
I chose and searched for information about this tire for a long time.
I needed a universal tire
For all occasions for an SUV 265/60/18
My driving style is reasonably aggressive
Trips to nature are mainly for mushrooms and beach driving on sand
Pros:
I found a quality rating of 5 stars out of 5
Well-balanced loads under 50
Excellent traction on any surface
Does not notice the rut at all in my size
Grips well on any surface, both in rain and on dry pavement
Comfortable
Easy off-road driving without problems (drives well on sand)
Strong sidewalls, 114 compared to Dunlop's 110 (suitable for any road quality)
62 shore hardness means it won't become hard in the off-season, unlike summer tires with 70 and higher shore hardness
Does not float even at speeds of 150 in hot weather
The price-to-quality ratio is simply superb for this money.
Durability also promises to be high
In America, it has a warranty mileage of 65,000 miles
This is approximately 100,000 km and 6 years of warranty
I read reviews from Americans, and they all praise it in all aspects, even after using Pirelli Scorpions, they write that there is no difference. And Pirelli tires wear out very quickly in their opinion.
They also write that the behavior is very similar to Pirelli, which is not surprising in my opinion
Since Armstrong used to own it and Pirelli technologies are embedded in it

I liked the tire! At first, I approached the purchase with some distrust, then I read the information about the brand and decided to buy. The tire is balanced, sufficiently elastic, holds well on the road, almost doesn't feel the rut, on large potholes the tire smooths out the ride, I liked how the tire behaves on wet asphalt, very grippy, I took the size 275/45/20. I will definitely buy such tires again!

Good tires, balanced normally, 10-15 grams. Holds the road perfectly, doesn't feel like it's being pulled into ruts, confident in turns, tried accelerating to 250, no complaints. Less noise than Hakkapeliitta Blue 2 SUV. Can't say anything about wear, low mileage, not perfect on puddles, but need to consider speed and depth. Excellent braking, got a bit into the mud, grips well. Handles potholes softer than Hakkapeliitta.
