The Apollo Hawkz R/TS summer light vehicle tire is one of the novelties of the well-known Indian manufacturer. This model was created specifically for operation in off-road conditions. However, according to the manufacturer's statement, the tire provides a high level of comfort when driving on the highway. The size range is represented by only two sizes - 225/70R15 and 255/65R16, which somewhat limits the scope of application of this model.
Universal tread pattern
The company's specialists preferred to use an S-shaped tread pattern design for a number of reasons, the main one being its amazing versatility. The tire tread consists of five rows of high and massive blocks, grouped into longitudinal ribs. This made it possible to provide good directional stability while maintaining high off-road performance.
In addition, it is impossible not to note the small size of the tread blocks. This solution made it possible to fill the contact patch of the Apollo Hawkz R/TS to the limit with sharp edges, which provides excellent grip with slippery and loose surfaces.
One of the reasons for choosing an S-shaped tread pattern design was the desire to provide a low noise level when driving on hard surfaces. The fact is that such a placement of tread elements implies their placement with a different pitch relative to each other. Thanks to this, it is possible to minimize the likelihood of resonance noise and vibrations, which significantly increases the level of driving comfort when driving on the highway.
