DescriptionDescription Antares Majoris R1
Antares Majoris R1 – a passenger tire designed for use on crossovers and full-size SUVs during the summer season. The tire is distinguished by its reliability, confidence, and safety while driving, as well as comfort for the driver.
The tread pattern features pronounced highway components, which provides the vehicle with excellent dynamics when moving on both dry and wet road surfaces. The medial part of the tread has a fine notch, which ensures a high level of traction and confident braking. Deep channels and small grooves in the shoulder areas allow for efficient and high-quality removal of moisture from under the contact patch. At the same time, the grip with the asphalt remains high even during active rain.
The tire's tread is sufficiently rigid, which allows the vehicle to move stably, both when driving straight at high speeds and when passing turns.

The build quality is excellent, all tires are even, balancing is standard for Chinese tires, at first, we hang a lot of weights, then after 1000 km of mileage, it needs to be rebalanced. There are no miracles, you need to understand that these are budget tires, they cost 2-3 times cheaper than premium ones.
They are very noisy in the heat, especially in the first 2000 km of mileage. Real feelings are like when I just installed them and accelerated to 80 km/h - it's like a helicopter is flying over the car. After a couple of long trips on the highway, they seemed to have worn in a bit, the noise decreased. As soon as the temperature outside drops to 10-15°C, the noise noticeably subsides. I bought them to replace the stock Michelin Primacy, which didn't make any noise at all, but had become worn out. When replacing them, I noticed that the Antares is about 2 times heavier than the Michelin. The car is insulated with about 3 layers, the arches are rolled up from both sides, and there are 2 layers on the thresholds.
In terms of handling, I have no complaints. It holds much better than the similar-patterned Yokohama Geolandar, which I used to have on another car. Compared to the Bridgestone Potenza 050 on my other car, it's about the same, it also passes joints rigidly, in turns it starts to skid much earlier, but as expected, without sharp deviations and skidding into the curb or oncoming traffic. On sand, the car drives like a tank, even with a trailer, which has 4 Enduro bikes. On gravel, even large, it also drives well. On the highway, you can safely drive 150-170, it doesn't float, doesn't feel like it's being led by the road. The transition to a wet road is also predictable, it doesn't throw. I caught a couple of potholes - without bulges and punctures, you can safely rub the curb - the tire doesn't tear, it's thick.
In general, if you're taking it for an "off-road vehicle" that drives in weekdays in a home-work mode and on weekends in nature - it's an ideal BUDGET option. If you don't need trips on sand and gravel - stay away from this constantly buzzing noisy thing, no soundproofing will save you, even if you cover it all with it.

Everyone likes this tire - it rolls well, holds well, the quality is excellent and even brakes well. Only one drawback cancels out all the advantages. At a speed of about 85, such a hum starts that it becomes difficult to talk in the cabin. If you are in the city or on a dirt road, then it's worth taking. If you have an avenue or a highway, then look for something less humming.

First impressions are like Continental, no excessive noise is heard, accelerated to 110 and there was no noise, rides well, crosses bumps softly, the handling on the Tiger was more pleasant, but this tire is not bad, only a lot of weights were hung during balancing
