The basis of the tread consists of three ribs, the central one of which has a solid structure, supplemented by non-through grooves. It contributes to improved handling at speed, quick response to turns of the steering wheel. The wider ribs of the middle zone are formed by small blocks with a diagonal direction. They are responsible for improving grip on a wet surface, and the channels formed by them remove excess moisture, minimizing the risk of aquaplaning. Their action is complemented by wide "shoulders" with open grooves, removing not only water but also liquid mud from the contact zone.
