The commercial tire Tornado GL688A is an all-season radial model with increased strength, designed for universal use on heavy trucks in mixed conditions. The tire is suitable for both asphalt roads and dirt roads, making it in demand for use on construction sites, quarries, and regional transportation. It is designed for heavy loads and stable operation under the weight of heavy vehicles, providing reliability and stability in various operating conditions.
The tread is made with a massive open shoulder and high blocks, which enhances road grip and facilitates self-cleaning. This design helps to effectively remove stones, mud, and other foreign elements that could get stuck between the blocks, worsening the grip. The combination of large pattern elements and a developed system of grooves improves traction on solid surfaces and loose soils, and the open shoulder areas contribute to stable vehicle behavior when driving on mixed surfaces.
The design is focused on durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The durable rubber compound of the tread is resistant to cuts and chips, which is especially important when operating on roads with sharp stones and irregularities. The tread material also slows down the rate of abrasive wear, allowing the tire to maintain its working tread depth for a long time and providing stable operating characteristics under regular load.
Particular attention is paid to increasing the resource of the carcass and sidewalls, which helps to withstand high static loads characteristic of heavy trucks. The reinforced shoulder and side zones increase the tire's resistance to mechanical stresses and protect its surface during maneuvers near curbs or obstacles — this reduces the risk of premature failure and decreases the need for frequent tire replacement.
Key features of Tornado GL688A:
- open tread with a large number of blocks provides reliable grip and self-cleaning on asphalt and dirt;
- durable compound increases resistance to cuts and chips, extending the service life;
- reinforced sidewalls and shoulder areas increase the structural stability under high loads.
