The Tornado trademark belongs to the Chinese company Guizho Tire Co. Ltd, founded in 1958. It specializes exclusively in the development and production of tire products. Currently, its range includes over 3000 items. This brand was registered in 2001 and is used to promote tires mainly for passenger and commercial vehicles. All tires are developed and tested by their own forces, for which an advanced research center of the parent company is used.
In the commercial tire segment, the brand is represented by more than forty models, distributed across the following categories:
- for large-capacity trucks;
- for medium-capacity trucks;
- for buses.
For large-capacity trucks, models are offered that are designed for a wide range of operating conditions - from high-speed highways to quarries of mining enterprises. All tires are characterized by an increased resource, ensured by both the internal arrangement and the use of special compounds with a large margin of strength. It is also worth noting the use of various tread patterns, optimized based on specific operating conditions. This makes each tire of this brand very productive.
The line of "medium-tonnage" tires of the brand consists of models intended mainly for transportation over short and medium distances. These are versatile tires that can be installed on any axle and are designed for use in various conditions, including off-road surfaces. All models are distinguished by reinforced frames, which can have an increased number of layers in the cord or a larger cross-section of steel wires. They are made of steel with increased tensile strength and elongation. In turn, the compounds are characterized by resistance to wear, punctures, the formation of small cracks and chips.
In the segment of tires for large-capacity buses, Tornado is represented by models designed for use on both urban and regional routes. Most tires are universal and can be installed on any axle. The exception is models specifically designed for operation mainly on wet and snowy roads in regions with a cold climate. Such tires are distinguished by a "block" tread with an increased number of gripping edges, as well as a rubber compound that retains elasticity at low temperatures. For other bus tires, a compound is used that is characterized by increased resistance to abrasive wear, punctures, and overheating. In addition, they use tread patterns with solid longitudinal ribs that prevent wear and reduce rolling resistance.
