Neumaster W-3EN G-2 — a tyre for special equipment featuring a lug-type traction tread pattern. Long, curved soil-gripping lugs extend from the shoulder areas to the centre of the tread. They combine pronounced working edges with a wide base, helping to transfer driving force to the ground without excessive movement of individual tread elements.
Lugs with a curved working edge
Each main lug starts at the shoulder and sweeps toward the central area. Due to this shape, both transverse and inclined edge sections engage with the ground. The transverse sections provide grip during traction, while the inclined sections enhance grip during maneuvering. The length of the lugs allows a significant portion of the tread width to engage on loose surfaces.
Dense central zone
The inner ends of the lugs are positioned close together, forming a dense pattern along the centre of the tread. This increases the proportion of rubber in contact with the surface in the central area. The robust tread elements, without frequent fine siping, better resist deformation under load, which is beneficial when transitioning from loose to compacted terrain.
Open spaces between lugs
Curved channels extend from the center towards the shoulders and exit beyond the tread. As the wheel rotates, this shape leaves a path for soil to escape outward, facilitating pattern self-cleaning. Clearing the gaps helps maintain the working height of the edges and sustain grip in subsequent wheel rotations.
Key features of Neumaster W-3EN G-2
- long soil-gripping lugs shaped like 'hockey sticks' form pronounced traction edges on terrain;
- transverse and slanted block edges contribute to traction transmission and maneuverability;
- closely spaced inner ends of blocks provide support in the central zone;
- open channels facilitate displacement of soil beyond the tread edges.
