Novion SS-153 0 front tire for cross-country motorcycles, designed for operation on rough terrain, dirt tracks, and closed off-road circuits. The entire design is focused on one thing - stability at high speed, sharp entry into turns, and durability under impact loads. The model is not intended for public roads.
Central directionality and aggressive shoulders
The tread is designed with a pronounced block pattern - numerous elements oriented in the direction of movement. This structure provides predictable behavior on a straight line when accelerating and braking, even on loose soil. And the powerful shoulder blocks, entering the sidewalls, are responsible for maneuverability in turns. When the motorcycle is tilted, they are the first to contact the ground, and their aggressive shape with high "teeth" ensures fixation in the turn at an angle. Deep grooves between the elements perform the role of a self-cleaning system, preventing skidding and loss of traction.
Carcass construction
For cross-country conditions, the stiffness and energy capacity of the carcass are critical. The model uses a polyester cord. It has higher elasticity, which provides a sharp reaction to the steering wheel and resistance to breaks.
Medium Soft rubber compound: a balance of elasticity and wear
The Medium Soft compound is a compromise between soft "racing" mixtures and hard "touring" ones. This rubber retains elasticity on hard surfaces: rolled soil, gravel, asphalt sections on approaches to the track. It does not harden at moderate temperatures and does not float during intense work.
