The Michelin Power Rain motorcycle tire is designed exclusively for use on racing tracks. It represents a universal model, suitable for application in various competitions. It is characterized by improved grip properties on wet surfaces, smooth handling and resistance to abrasive wear.
The tread pattern is distinguished by a high ratio of the area of voids and elements. This is due to the presence of a large number of drainage grooves. In the central part, they are located longitudinally, and on the edges - they are directed against the direction of movement, which allows the use of wheel rotation to divert water. The intensity of this process is also ensured by the large width of the drainage grooves. Exactly in the middle of the tread, solid longitudinal ribs are used - one or several, depending on the version of the tire. These elements provide directional stability and steering precision during straight-line movement. When maneuvering, the reliability of adhesion is ensured due to the arrangement of blocks and the profile of the tread, which increases the contact patch and maintains its area even at a significant angle of the bike.
