The Michelin Pilot Road 4 Scooter motorcycle tire is designed for scooters and is adapted for use on the most powerful and high-speed versions of this two-wheeled vehicle. It features improved traction on wet and cold surfaces, precise and stable handling. With all these properties, it demonstrates the "signature" durability of French brand tires. The life cycle of this tire in its class is one of the longest.
The external appearance of the tread part of the tire is notable for the presence of a large number of drainage elements. First of all, these are grooves, the width and curved shape of which increase their internal volume. In addition to them, the tread contains lamellas and special "micro-pumps". The first ones form additional edges, which are located at a right angle to the direction of movement on the front tire. This reduces the braking distance. On the rear tire, the lamellas are located at an acute angle, which increases stability on wet surfaces at aggressive angles of inclination. Additional traction in such driving modes is provided by "micro-pumps". They dry the contact patch in the shoulder areas, capturing and holding moisture from the road surface.
