Tires for scooters Metzeler ME7 Teen are specially designed as summer "shoes" for teenagers' "iron horses", as the name "Teen" suggests.
Metzeler ME7 Teen tires are mainly released with speed index L, which provides a speed limit of up to 120 km/h. More rapid driving (which, however, is unlikely to be acceptable for a scooter) does not guarantee proper safety.
The Teen model range also includes one high-speed tire option, 28560R18 (speed index R, max - 170 km/h), which is designed for heavier and more powerful motorcycle models.
Original technological solutions used in the tire design make the scooter very obedient and easy to handle on the move. Such technological innovations include a low profile and tread pattern configuration.
The chemical composition of the rubber and the tread pattern allow the use of the Metzeler ME7 Teen tire in any weather, both in urban traffic and for driving on highways and off-road.
German tire manufacturers have approached the development of this model with their inherent pragmatism. With the aim of maximizing the safety of young drivers, taking into account the psychology of their behavior on the road. The modern design and speed characteristics of the tires give the vehicle a special charm and unobtrusive aggression, thereby emphasizing the independent and defiant character of the scooter owner. That's why this model has gained extraordinary popularity among both young scooter owners and their parents.
Basic features of the Metzeler ME7 Teen model
The composite materials used in the manufacture of tires, based on silicone-rubber polymers, provide reliable grip with the road surface, minimizing the risk when driving on wet roads;
The rubber is distinguished by high stability of geometric dimensions in a wide temperature range, which is very relevant when driving at high speeds. All these qualities significantly increase the service life of the tires;
The low-profile tread, in the form of alternating grooves of different lengths, and the increased tire width create additional advantages in terms of stability and ease of handling. The characteristic tread pattern ensures instant cleaning from dirt entering during wheel rotation, largely preventing skidding.
