The Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart IV motorcycle tire is designed for sports and touring bikes. It is characterized by ease of handling, improved traction at significant lean angles, and an increased lifespan compared to the previous generation model.
The tread area of the tire is made from two compounds, dividing it into three parts. The central part, made from a stiffer rubber compound, enhances stability and durability when driving on straight roads, reducing rolling resistance and wear. The shoulder zones are made from an elastic compound, adding grip to the tire when the bike is leaned at large angles. The reliability of traction is maintained even on wet surfaces, thanks to the presence of a large amount of "silica" in both rubber compounds. Additionally, the tread contains numerous curved drainage grooves that intensely divert water from the contact patch.
Key features of the Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart IV
- two rubber compounds provide reliable traction in any conditions and increase the tire's lifespan;
- curved drainage grooves effectively combat aquaplaning;
- an increased contact patch due to the optimization of the tread profile and the reduction of the tire's sidewall height.
