The application scope of the Bridgestone Battlax Adventure Cross Scrambler AX41S motorcycle tire is reflected in its name. This model is designed for 2-wheeled vehicles in the "scrambler" category, corresponding to its external appearance with a characteristic look. At the same time, the striking appearance is combined with excellent performance for modern motorcycle tires, which was achieved through the use of the latest technologies and materials. It is offered by the manufacturer in two versions - for the front and rear wheels. It is recommended for pair use.
Dual-Compound Tread
The tread of the rear tire is made of a dual-compound rubber mixture. The shoulder zones, which occupy about 70% of the area, are made of a more elastic compound. This solution allows the tire to add grip at large lean angles of the motorcycle. At the same time, not only is stability improved when maneuvering, but also traction control in turns is simplified.
The central part is made of a harder compound, which increases stability at high speeds during straight-line movement. The tread of the front tire is also made of the same rubber mixture. In addition to stability at high speeds, this also increases accuracy in handling.
Optimized Tread Profile
When developing the tire, computer simulation technologies were actively used. One of the results of their use was the profile of the tread. Its shape is optimized so that not only the contact patch is increased, but also it remains unchanged over a wide range of motorcycle lean angles. Another significant advantage of this solution was the improvement of handling comfort. The motorcycle with such tires is much easier to lean.
Directional Tread Pattern
The design of the tread corresponds to the appearance of modern "scramblers", which are perfect for riding on various types of surfaces, including dirt roads. It contains many large blocks that form elongated V-shaped edges in the contact patch. This significantly increases traction and directional stability, especially when there is a lack of adhesion to the road surface. In addition, such a pattern reduces rolling resistance and improves acoustic comfort.
