Description Sava Cargo C4
The Sava Cargo C4 truck tire is a great option for carriers who want to get a high-tech tire product without overpaying for the brand. After all, this Slovenian manufacturer was once acquired by the North American tire giant Goodyear. Among other features of this model for the trailer axle of trucks, it is worth noting the excellent reliability, long service life, as well as excellent traction on high-speed highways.
Wider Tread
When developing this model, the Slovenian tire makers paid special attention to ensuring maximum mileage before complete wear. One of the means of achieving this goal was to increase the tread width. This made it possible to place six longitudinal tread ribs. Each of them has a very stiff, due to the absence of any breaks, design. This design ensured that the Sava Cargo C4 tire had an optimal distribution of external pressure across the contact patch, which in turn led to a significant increase in the tread's resistance to uneven wear, increasing the overall service life of the tire.
No Lugs and Separate Blocks
As mentioned earlier, each of the six longitudinal tread ribs has a very stiff and solid construction. The absence of any additional elements on them is due, first of all, to the need to ensure that the tire has maximum reliability throughout its service life.
Multi-Functional Drainage Grooves
All six tread ribs are separated from each other by wide drainage grooves. They are characterized by a zigzag configuration. Due to this, these tread elements can not only drain water from the contact patch, thereby ensuring more reliable traction on wet roads. Another function of theirs is to prevent stones from entering the tread, which, due to the zigzag shape of the drainage grooves, simply cannot be retained in them.
Reinforced Sidewalls and Shoulder Areas
In contrast to the four longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread, the shoulder areas have a more rigid and massive construction, as do the sidewalls, which were also reinforced. This allowed the Slovenian tire makers to seriously improve the even distribution of external pressure across the contact patch, which in turn led to an increase in load capacity and resistance to uneven wear. Additionally, the reinforcement of these design components ensured improved directional stability and traction on dry roads.
Key Features of the Sava Cargo C4 Tire
- the trailer axle tire was developed using the latest technological developments from Goodyear;
- excellent directional stability thanks to the increased number of longitudinal tread ribs (six);
- very low rolling resistance, high reliability is ensured by the absence of any lugs and blocks;
- excellent traction due to the increased tread width;
- the reinforced design of the shoulder areas and sidewalls optimizes the distribution of external pressure across the contact patch, thereby increasing the service life of the tire and its load capacity;
- excellent traction properties on wet roads due to excellent resistance to aquaplaning, achieved due to the large internal volume of the five longitudinal drainage grooves;
- the possibility of repeated tread recovery significantly increases the service life of the tire.
