Medium-tonnage trucks and buses operating on long-distance routes have a special set of requirements for tyres: minimal rolling resistance for fuel efficiency, impeccable grip, and low noise levels in the cabin to reduce driver fatigue. Roadstar R300 – a commercial-type model that combines: low rolling resistance and a high coefficient of grip, durability, and flexibility. The tyre is designed for the drive axle.
Five-rib pattern
The tread pattern is built on five circumferential ribs, supplemented by unidirectional grooves. This is a classic solution for the drive axle, but here it is brought to perfection. Such geometry creates a continuous flow of gripping edges that actively interact with the road. As a result, traction properties increase, and the braking distance is reduced.
Safe grip
A developed network of longitudinal and transverse grooves between the blocks forms a powerful drainage structure. When driving on wet asphalt, water is instantly evacuated from the contact area, preventing the formation of a water film. This minimizes the risk of hydroplaning even in heavy rain. Thanks to the optimized groove depth, the model maintains effective grip, ensuring stable braking properties regardless of the degree of wear.
Elasticity and abrasion resistance
The load-carrying structure is a multi-layer carcass, some of whose threads are made of nylon. Such elements provide increased elasticity and fatigue strength, allowing the carcass to adapt to road irregularities without losing its shape. The design effectively dampens local deformations, protecting the tyre from cracks and delamination.
The rubber compound is reinforced with special polymeric additives that increase resistance to abrasive wear. This means that the blocks retain their geometry over many kilometers, and the working height of the tread is consumed evenly. In combination with a deep profile, this provides a significant mileage resource.
Key features of Roadstar R300:
- applicability on the drive axle of medium-capacity trucks and intercity buses;
- optimized compound and carcass design provide low rolling resistance;
- multiple gripping edges in the five-rib tread guarantee excellent traction and a short braking distance;
- the geometry of the elements prevents air turbulence in the grooves, minimizing noise and vibration in the cabin.
- the internal structure with nylon elements gives the tyre elasticity, protecting it from deformations and local damage.
