The main area of application of the Belshina Bel-146 cargo tire is trailers and semi-trailers used in interregional transportation. In addition to the traditionally low cost for the Belarusian manufacturer, this model is beneficially distinguished by its excellent suitability for prolonged high-speed movement, increased fuel efficiency, and high braking efficiency on slippery roads.
6-ribbed tread pattern
Considering the specific operating conditions on high-capacity trailers and semi-trailers, Belarusian tire manufacturers have equipped this model with a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. It is characterized by the absence of separate tread blocks, which, nevertheless, does not prevent it from having a large number of grip edges. Additionally, the Belshina Bel-146 tread is divided by drainage grooves into six longitudinal ribs, four of which are located in its central part. At the same time, none of them have any interruptions throughout their length.
Thanks to this design, Belarusian specialists have managed to provide the tire with a number of significant advantages. First of all, this is the reduced rolling resistance, which directly affects the fuel efficiency indicators. Moreover, the high rigidity of all tread ribs provides the tire with excellent course stability, especially when driving at high speeds.
Reinforced shoulder area design
Unlike their analogs located in the central part of the tread, the shoulder longitudinal ribs have a different structure, which is due to the slightly different functions they perform. The fact is that it is this part of the tread that is most aggressively affected by the road surface during movement. Therefore, the shoulder areas have increased sizes and rigidity, which ensures a more even distribution of external pressure over the contact patch.
