The commercial tire Nokian R-Truck Steer is mounted on the steering axle. It is designed for mixed operating conditions, featuring high efficiency not only on asphalt roads but also on various dirt surfaces, including soft sandy and earthy ones. In the most challenging conditions, it is characterized by good traction and reliability.
The tread pattern has an open design with a symmetrical non-directional arrangement of elements. The shoulder zone blocks are connected by wide "bridges" - bridges that limit their mobility relative to each other. This improves steering accuracy and directional stability, reduces uneven wear of the tread. All blocks have a complex polygonal shape. As a result, the contact patch has an increased number of gripping edges. In combination with their multidirectionality, this ensures high stability of the gripping properties, especially on dirt surfaces. The tread pattern is made from a special compound. It is distinguished not only by increased mechanical strength but also by thermal conductivity, which reduces the heating of the tire when moving at high speed.
