Truck tires Matador TH2 Massive are designed for installation on any axles of trailers and semi-trailers, the operation of which is associated with prolonged driving on high-speed highways. The size range includes three types for wheels with a mounting diameter of 17.5 inches.
Classic tread pattern design
A characteristic feature of the tread pattern of the Matador TH2 Massive tire is the clear division into separate functional zones, each of which solves its own set of tasks. In particular, in the central part of the tread, there are three longitudinal ribs of equal size. Each of them is distinguished by a solid and therefore very rigid construction, thanks to which the tire has excellent directional stability. In addition, the complete absence of any design elements on their surface made it possible to significantly reduce the rolling resistance, which, in turn, led to an improvement in fuel efficiency.
High resistance to uneven wear
It is also worth noting the equal size of all three longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread. This made it possible to achieve a very even distribution of external load on the contact patch. Partially with the same goals, the creators of the tire made the shoulder zones very wide and rigid, which represent two additional longitudinal ribs.
Excellent traction in wet weather
All five longitudinal ribs are separated from each other by wide drainage grooves, which can hold a very large amount of water. As a result, even at high speeds, the contact patch of the tire with the road remains dry, ensuring excellent traction even in the most unfavorable conditions.
