The Long March LM511 truck tire is designed for use on highways and public roads. The model features a block tread pattern with open shoulder zones. The rubber compound has been developed to meet requirements for wear resistance, cut resistance, and reduced heat generation during rolling.

Block Tread Pattern

The tread consists of longitudinal rows of large blocks. Their transverse edges provide numerous biting edges, while the wide surfaces between grooves ensure road contact. The central elements have slightly chamfered edges. Blocks in adjacent rows are staggered, so transverse grooves do not form a continuous straight line across the entire tread.

Open Shoulder Zones

Longitudinal channels connect with transverse grooves that separate the blocks. In the shoulder areas, these grooves extend to the edges of the tread. This open configuration creates pathways for water and soil particles to escape from between the blocks. Additional short sipes are provided on the outer edges of the shoulder elements.

Rubber Compound

During compound development, the manufacturer focused on resistance to wear and tearing. Another key function of the compound is to limit heat generation during tire operation. These properties are essential for commercial vehicles, where the tread undergoes repeated deformation under load.
