Lanvigator SL007 — commercial tire designed for highway and regional transportation with a priority on economy and directional stability. The model is recommended for installation on the steering axles of cargo transport, as well as on any positions of large-capacity buses. The closed architecture of the tread with rigid longitudinal ribs provides low rolling resistance, even wear, and predictable behavior at high speeds.
Tread specification
The model uses a closed scheme with a minimum number of transverse grooves. This solution pursues three goals:
- optimization of air flow resistance;
- prevention of rapid wear — continuous ribs exclude block mobility, slowing down abrasive wear;
- directional stability — rigid longitudinal architecture keeps the vehicle on the trajectory without understeer.
The central zone is formed by four solid longitudinal elements. Such geometry guarantees even pressure distribution, stability during straight-line movement, and unchanged contact area.
Traction
Despite the closed architecture, engineers managed to preserve traction properties on wet surfaces due to the geometry of the ribs themselves. A special profile forms a multitude of chamfers, working as engaging edges during braking and acceleration. Peripheral areas are equipped with numerous protrusions — additional traction elements activated during turns and maneuvers.
Abrasion resistance and cut resistance
The compound is developed for intense highway loads. The main priorities of the recipe:
- slowed-down abrasive wear during prolonged movement at high speed;
- preservation of the rubber microstructure under the influence of road dust and dirt;
stability of the friction coefficient.
In addition to abrasion resistance, the rubber mixture demonstrates high resistance to cuts. This is important for the steering axle, where the tire takes on lateral loads during maneuvering and contact with curb elements.
