Description Lanvigator DL301
Long-haul transportation imposes strict requirements on the tyre: it must work confidently on both the steered front axle and the driven axle. The Lanvigator DL301 is designed to provide a stable contact patch regardless of the axle type, minimizing local overloads and evening out wear. The result is predictable vehicle behavior in any road conditions and increased tread life.
Evenness as the basis of durability
The classic tread profile has been reworked: the radius of curvature is selected so that at standard pressure, the contact patch is as rectangular as possible. This means that the load from the axle is distributed evenly across the entire width of the tread. This reduces abrasive wear on local areas.
Central zone
The tread pattern is based on three ring-shaped ribs, but not solid ones, rather segmented ones. Each rib is divided by transverse grooves that form a multitude of independent blocks. This provides a dual effect:
- the elements work as rigid supports, ensuring directional stability and a clear response to steering wheel rotation;
- the transverse grooves between the segments turn into drainage paths that quickly remove water from under the central part, increasing traction properties when braking and accelerating.
This architecture allows the tyre to confidently hold its trajectory even during sharp maneuvers and in heavy rain conditions.
Maneuverability and protection against damage
The shoulder areas are made solid, without transverse breaks, and are additionally reinforced with an increased volume of rubber. This engineering solution solves three problems:
- the solid lateral block does not deform chaotically under lateral loads, which preserves the contact area and prevents the tyre from tilting on sharp turns;
- protection against cuts and punctures;
- the closed shoulder design eliminates "step" wear.
Carcass and compound
A sturdy carcass is not only a steel breaker but also an optimized sidewall construction that dampens deformations during load changes. A high-strength polymer cord is used here in combination with a steel breaker belt, which provides structural rigidity without losing elasticity.
The rubber compound is specifically designed for long-haul modes. It contains reinforced fillers that reduce abrasive wear on hot asphalt. At the same time, the compound retains its elasticity in cold weather, without becoming brittle. This provides a stable mileage throughout the entire season of operation without significant degradation of characteristics.
Key features of the Lanvigator DL301:
- effectively works on the steered and trailer axles, allowing the fleet to reduce the range of tyres and simplify vehicle maintenance;
- the optimized profile prevents local wear, increasing the overall tread life;
- the segmented central ribs provide directional stability on dry pavement and effective water drainage on wet surfaces;
- the special rubber compound slows down wear at high speeds and in a wide temperature range, maintaining traction properties.
