The Kama NF-202 truck tire from a well-known Russian manufacturer is designed for installation on the front axle wheels of trucks with varying payloads, used for intercity and interregional transportation.
The tire's design features a number of solutions aimed at achieving high fuel efficiency and increasing payload capacity. The tread pattern features five wide ribs that significantly reduce rolling resistance, resulting in reduced fuel consumption. Additionally, the use of wide ribs has allowed for the maximum increase in the contact area between the tire and the road surface, thereby significantly improving traction characteristics.
To improve traction on wet and damp surfaces, the tire's tread pattern features four longitudinally arranged tooth-shaped grooves designed to evacuate water from the contact area between the tire and the road surface. Also, to improve traction characteristics, the ribs of the Kama NF 202 tire are interspersed with diagonal wavy lamellas. The lamellas, located in the shoulder areas of the tread, transition to longitudinal grooves at the edge of the tread, dividing the shoulder areas into separate blocks that promote even load distribution. This has allowed for the strengthening of the tire's durability characteristics and the increase of the maximum allowable load compared to the previous model.
The Kama NF202 tire's tread is equipped with wear indicators that allow for quick and accurate assessment of the tire's remaining resource without the use of any measuring tools.
This tire model is distinguished, first and foremost, by its all-steel cord construction, in which both the carcass and the breaker are reinforced with steel wires. This has significantly improved the tire's strength and elasticity, as well as its resistance to deformation. Additionally, the use of an all-steel cord has had a positive impact on fuel efficiency and tire lifespan.
