The summer cargo tire Headway HD698 is designed for installation on the driving axles of heavy trucks, operated mainly on highways. This model is distinguished by a universal tread pattern, perfectly suitable for roads with poor surface quality. Universal tread pattern
Despite the fact that the tire is designed for operation on highways, Chinese tire manufacturers have equipped it with a tread having a universal pattern, suitable for any type of road surface. It consists of many massive tread blocks, grouped into five longitudinal ribs.
Good directional stability and fuel efficiency
The central part of the Headway HD698 tread pattern contains three longitudinal ribs, formed from the corresponding number of rows of individual blocks. Unlike the shoulder areas, these tread elements are spaced at a minimum distance from each other. In combination with the massive sizes of the blocks themselves, this made it possible not only to improve directional stability but also to significantly reduce rolling resistance.

One of the key features of the tread pattern of this model is its block structure. Thanks to the multitude of blocks, Chinese tire manufacturers were able to saturate the tread with traction edges to the maximum, arranged in different directions. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent traction and adhesion properties, especially on slippery roads.
High resistance to aquaplaning
Another undeniable advantage of the block structure of the tread pattern is the presence of a huge number of drainage channels that penetrate the tire, both transversely and longitudinally. As a result, the drainage system perfectly copes with its direct duties even in conditions of heavy rain, providing high resistance to aquaplaning.
