The Headway HD658 Chinese summer tire is used on the drive axles of trucks operating in any conditions. This model is a vivid example of the optimal combination of excellent operational characteristics and affordable cost. When developing it, special attention was paid to the design of the tread and the composition of the rubber compound.
New Tread Pattern
The tread consists of massive blocks with sharp edges that improve traction. Even when driving on soft ground, the Headway HD658 tire has a minimal percentage of slippage, reducing fuel consumption while driving.
In the center of the tread, there is a deep channel that provides rapid water removal from the contact area, ensuring confident straight-line movement. The massive channels between the blocks prevent stone trapping, improving passability and controllability, even when driving off-road.
The large number of notches and lamellae increases traction with a wet road surface and reduces noise while driving, providing a comfortable ride even during long trips. In the shoulder area, there are special protruding rings that provide additional protection against damage. In the sidewall area, there are special recesses that increase traction during maneuvers.
New Rubber Compound
When creating the rubber compound, unique additives were used that improved traction characteristics. The high silica content contributed to the increased elasticity of the tread. As a result, the tire has fast recovery properties and excellent traction with a wet road surface. The addition of silicon additives to the rubber compound increased the wear resistance, ensuring a long service life of the tread.
After production, the tire undergoes thorough visual and electronic control, which made it possible to avoid the release of defective batches to the consumer.
