The Hankook e-cube Max AL10+ truck tire, like all representatives of the e-cube Max family of truck models, was developed with an emphasis on energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. This model is designed for installation on the steering axles of long-haul trucks. The tire is available in 9 sizes with a 22.5-inch rim diameter.
As mentioned earlier, when developing this model, South Korean tire engineers paid special attention to ensuring high energy efficiency and excellent environmental performance. This was achieved thanks to the use of a number of interesting design solutions.
This model is one of the first to be equipped with an additional seamless metal cord breaker, which is located between two standard high-strength breakers. This solution is the main component of the Spiral Coil Technology. As a result, it was possible to achieve not only an improvement in the characteristics of mechanical strength, but also a significant increase in the tire's resistance to deformation. This, in turn, led to a reduction in rolling resistance, an increase in the stability of the contact patch area, and an increase in the tread's resistance to uneven wear.
Another effective means of increasing energy efficiency and environmental friendliness was the significantly redesigned tread pattern. The Hankook E-cube Max AL10+ tire features a non-directional tread with six longitudinal ribs. Thanks to the solid and very rigid design of all the tread ribs, the tire demonstrates excellent directional stability. Additionally, this solution made it possible to significantly improve fuel efficiency by reducing rolling resistance.
It is also worth noting the high operating characteristics when driving in rainy conditions. The tire owes this to the high performance of the drainage system, which can quickly and efficiently remove significant amounts of water from the contact patch.
