Original shoulder area design

Most of the tread area of this tire is occupied by the shoulder areas. To a large extent, their design is a compromise, as it provides the tire with various operational properties. In particular, their rigid construction, combined with massive sizes, optimizes the distribution of external pressure on the contact patch, preventing uneven wear, improving traction, and increasing carrying capacity. At the same time, it is impossible not to note the presence of numerous protrusions and recesses in this part of the tread. During movement, they perform the role of off-road hooks, ensuring reliable behavior when overcoming difficult sections.

Zigzag grooves in the center of the tread

Another non-trivial solution of the tread design is the structure of the central part. Here, three longitudinal drainage grooves of a zigzag shape are located. On the one hand, this solution provides the contact patch with additional traction edges, and on the other hand, it reduces noise and vibration loads when moving.
