Description Giti GDL617
The GT Radial GDL617 summer tire is designed for trucks that operate on any road surface. It has proven itself well when driving on dirt roads, providing excellent handling and increased protection from damage. To achieve these results, specialists used a non-directional tread pattern and an optimized carcass.
Non-directional tread pattern
The non-directional tread pattern was chosen specifically. It provides excellent operating characteristics on any road surface. Three deep grooves perfectly cope with their task, quickly removing dirt and water from the tread. Even in heavy rain, the tire provides confident handling and increased stability.
The dual blocks in the central part of the tread increase directional stability and accelerate response to steering wheel turns. A large number of small lamellas reduce noise when driving and create a "grip" effect on a wet surface. In the shoulder area of the GT Radial GDL617, there are massive blocks that reliably protect the tire from damage and increase traction during any turns. The optimal arrangement of blocks made it possible to increase the contact patch.
Optimized carcass
When creating the carcass, a new cord winding technology was used, which made it possible to increase strength and reduce the weight of the tire. Due to the weight reduction, the speed characteristics have increased, and the braking distance has decreased. The new carcass also increased resistance to maximum loads, preventing possible breaks and damage.
The new compound made it possible to reduce the heating of the tread and reduce rolling resistance, which made it possible to avoid overheating and reduce fuel consumption when driving.
This model provides excellent handling and increased protection from damage, which often occurs when driving on dirt roads.
Key features of the GT Radial GDL617 tire
- increased traction on wet road surfaces was achieved through the use of a new water evacuation system;
- reliable protection against overloads is provided by an optimized carcass;
- reduced rolling resistance is achieved through the use of a new compound;
- excellent directional stability is provided by dual blocks located in the central part of the tread.
