Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Barum NR32
The primary functional purpose of the Barum NR32 truck tire is to transport goods over medium and long distances. Additionally, this model is designed for use exclusively on steering axles.
Excellent directional stability at any speed
Among the distinctive features of this tire, one cannot help but note the design of the tread pattern. It consists of five longitudinal ribs, separated by wide drainage grooves. At the same time, each of these tread elements has a rigid structure, which is due to the absence of any breaks throughout the tread. Due to this design, not only excellent directional stability is ensured, but also extremely clear reactions of the tire to steering wheel turns, which significantly simplifies the control process.
Short braking distance
Despite the fact that the Barum NR32 tread pattern is actually devoid of individual blocks, it still contains a significant number of edges, allowing the tire to demonstrate a short braking distance even on wet roads. This ability appeared due to the original design of the three longitudinal ribs of the central part and the shoulder areas.
The longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread have a zigzag shape. In addition, the shoulder areas contain numerous tread blocks of a trapezoidal configuration. Thanks to this, the contact patch always has a large number of edges at its disposal, located not only at a significant angle to the direction of movement but also perpendicular to it. It is precisely due to this that the tire demonstrates excellent braking efficiency, despite often the most unfavorable road conditions.
High resistance to uneven wear
The above-mentioned design of the shoulder areas of the tread Barum NR32 contributes not only to a reduction in braking distance but also to another important operational quality. We are talking about resistance to such a harmful phenomenon for any tire as uneven wear, which seriously reduces its service life. To combat this, the Czech tire manufacturers made the shoulder area blocks as large as possible, which allowed optimizing the distribution of external pressure on the contact patch, making it more even and thus reducing the likelihood of uneven wear development.
Excellent traction on wet roads
When moving on a wet road, this model demonstrates excellent traction. This was achieved thanks to the high performance of the drainage system. It consists of four longitudinal grooves connected by a multitude of transverse channels. In the process of movement, the longitudinal grooves easily cope with the removal of almost any amount of water due to their large size, thereby ensuring excellent resistance to aquaplaning even at high speeds.
Main features of the Barum NR32 tire
- The tire design is optimized for use on the steering axles of trucks used for transporting goods over medium and long distances;
- excellent directional stability and fuel efficiency due to the very rigid structure of the five longitudinal ribs;
- The zigzag structure of the central tread ribs and the trapezoidal blocks of the shoulder areas provide a short braking distance even on wet roads;
- excellent resistance to uneven and abrasive wear due to rigid shoulder areas and special components in the rubber mixture;
- excellent traction parameters on dry and wet roads are ensured by the large size of the contact patch and the high-performance drainage system.
