When designing the Armstrong AOM11 tyre, engineers set themselves the task of creating a model that feels equally confident on both a high-speed highway and a rough forest road. The result is not just an "all-season" tyre, but an intelligent "adapter" to any road surface, where every element of the tread pattern has a clear task.
Block geometry
The main feature is the optimized connecting bridge between the shoulder and central blocks. Unlike classic "chess pieces" that "live their own life", a flexible link was created here that dampens impact loads. The bridge rigidly fixes the blocks in the contact patch area, preventing them from "folding" under load. Thanks to this, wear occurs not in "spots", but exclusively evenly across the entire tread.
Anti-gravel protection
The model features wide drainage channels with variable geometry. Their width is calculated to expel gravel and pebbles outward under the action of centrifugal force, rather than jamming them between the blocks. At the same time, these channels perform the function of powerful water drainage channels. On wet asphalt, the tyre instantly "swallows" water, eliminating the effect of aquaplaning, and on mud - it provides active self-cleaning, maintaining grip at a high level.
Survival formula
A special compound with an increased content of highly dispersed silica and reinforcing resins was developed for the tyre. This gave a double effect:
- resistance to cuts and chips;
- low heat generation - even during prolonged operation on hot asphalt in the summer, the rubber does not "flow".
Handling without compromise
Segmented ring "ribs" and reinforced shoulder areas guarantee clear feedback. When turning, the blocks do not "break", but work as a single structure, providing high directional stability.
Key features of the Armstrong AOM11:
- suitable for installation on any axle of truck and bus equipment - front, rear or trailer;
- connecting bridges provide stiffness of the block structure, minimizing uneven wear;
- anti-gravel channels effectively drain water, mud and stones, guaranteeing the cleanliness of the tread pattern;
- the special compound allows operation on rocky and sandy-gravel soils without the risk of damaging the carcass, increasing mileage.
