Armstrong ADR12 — all-season commercial truck tyre designed for drive axles, engineered for regional transportation. Its tread pattern addresses three practical needs: ensuring confident power transmission, maintaining stable truck handling, and resisting irregular wear. Drivers gain greater control on the road, while fleet owners benefit from maximized tread life.
Four zigzag longitudinal grooves enhance traction across various road conditions. Drive wheels maintain better grip when transmitting power, allowing the truck to move with confidence throughout the journey. The manufacturer also links this design to an extended tread lifespan—an important advantage for regular commercial operations.
The combination of longitudinal ribs and individual tread blocks helps prevent characteristic sawtooth wear on the leading and trailing edges of tread elements. More even wear enables the tread to retain its functional shape longer and avoid premature loss of usable life. Fleet owners can fully utilize the tyre’s potential without early replacement due to rapid block stepping.
Wide-open shoulder zones improve stability and steering response. As a result, the truck’s behaviour remains more predictable for the driver, and vehicle control is enhanced. The shoulder design also contributes to increased mileage by combining reliable handling with long tyre service life.
Sipes are applied across all tread blocks, improving grip on wet roads and snow. Drivers find it easier to maintain control over traction and steering direction in rainy or snowy conditions. For an all-season tyre, this provides added confidence when road conditions change during regional routes.
