Description Kenda K546 Speedracer
Externally, the Kenda K546 Speedracer does not look like an ATV tire at all, but rather a tire for a sports car. It's all about its "target audience". They are the owners of those ATVs that move mainly on hard surfaces, including asphalt. Another key feature of this model is that it can only be installed on the front axle. At the same time, it is recommended to use the K547 model with the same name on the rear axle. This will make it possible to achieve optimal handling.
Aggressive "highway" tread pattern
In an effort to give the Kenda K546 Speedracer tire maximum performance on hard surfaces, the developers preferred to use the advantages of a V-shaped tread pattern with a design characteristic of passenger car models. It contains many massive blocks arranged in such a way that when they come into contact with the road, they form a large number of very long lateral edges of adhesion. This solution made it possible to improve several important operational qualities at once. First of all, this is high-speed directional stability, fast and accurate responses to the driver's actions, as well as stability and excellent efficiency when braking.
At the same time, it is impossible not to notice the fairly large distance between the blocks, as well as their relatively large height. This feature allows the tire to remain quite efficient when driving on hard dirt roads, for example, on gravel, which makes it more versatile in application.
Reinforced carcass construction
Depending on the size, this model is equipped with a 4- or 6-layer carcass. In both versions, it is made from nylon cord using seamless winding technology. Due to the use of modern synthetic materials, such a design has a significant advantage in terms of low weight, high stability, both dynamic deformation and punctures and cuts. In real operating conditions, these properties provide the tire with good high-speed stability, reliability, and durability.
Main features of the Kenda K546 Speedracer tire
- the tire is designed for installation on the front axle of an ATV and operation on hard surfaces, including asphalt;
- excellent directional stability, reliability and durability thanks to a multi-layer carcass made from strong and lightweight synthetic materials;
- high braking efficiency is ensured by a V-shaped directional tread design, which provides a contact patch with very long lateral edges of adhesion.
