Qoros 7 was produced from 2020 to 2022. The car was a mid-size crossover, being the first model of the Chinese brand after a series of changes in ownership, starting from 2007. However, it was not entirely new, as it was technically unified with the Qoros 5 of 2015.

Key differences

In comparison with the previous model, this crossover has a huge number of changes. The door openings and roof remained the same. The front and rear were completely redesigned, along with the vertical body panels, including the fenders and doors. The platform has undergone significant changes, with an increased wheelbase of 2720 mm.

The interior was made in a classic style for the modern Chinese automotive industry, which is called minimalist. The steering wheel is especially notable in this regard, having only two spokes, behind which is the instrument panel display. Also notable is the vertically mounted tablet of the multimedia system, occupying the entire central part of the front console, being part of a single panel on which the non-fixed gearshift lever is also located.

The engine range consists of two turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engines. The base version is equipped with a 1.6-liter power unit from Qoros 5 with an output of 204 hp and 280 Nm. As an alternative, a 1.8-liter engine of the same design was offered, developing 231 hp and 300 Nm. In both versions, the engine worked in conjunction with a 7-speed robotic gearbox, combining exclusively with front-wheel drive. The chassis also turned out to be "lightweight", where the "MacPherson" struts in the front were combined with a multi-link suspension in the back and an electromechanical power steering.
