Tires on Maserati Ghibli (Масерати)

Maserati Ghibli – a sports car from an Italian manufacturer that began its history back in 1967 and remains relevant today, having changed several generations. With a relatively low price for its class, the car stands out for its excellent handling, superior dynamics, and comfort. This has allowed the sports car to remain in demand for many decades.

G1

The first generation, which started in 1967, was designed by the renowned designer Giorgietto Giugiaro. The car was produced in coupe and convertible bodies with a hard and soft top. Two engines with a capacity of 4.7 and 4.9 liters were installed under the hood. The first one was made entirely of aluminum, equipped with 4 carburetors and 4 camshafts, which allowed it to produce up to 340 horsepower and accelerate the not-so-light car to a record 265 km/h for that time. The second engine had a power rating of 355 horsepower and allowed it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 6 seconds. They were paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The interior featured natural leather trim and valuable wood species. During its existence, only 1150 copies were produced.

G2

After a brief hiatus, the second generation began to roll off the assembly line. This happened in 1992. The new car was equipped with two engine options: a 2-liter engine with 310 horsepower and a 2.8-liter engine with 288 horsepower. The transmission, as before, was a 4-speed automatic or a manual transmission. Among the equipment, we can highlight the ABS and suspension with electronic control. In the second generation, 2380 copies were produced. In 1997, the car was replaced by the 3200 GT model.

G3

The modern and third generation made its debut in 2013. The Chrysler 300 served as its base. In addition, the developers borrowed the five-link rear suspension from Mercedes, and at the front, they began to install "MacPherson" on the rear-wheel-drive car and a double-wishbone suspension on the all-wheel-drive car. Notably, according to the engineers' statement, the precise suspension tuning on the rear-wheel-drive car allows for the same handling as in the case of all-wheel drive. Under the hood, there were gasoline engines with a capacity of 3 liters and a power of 330 and 410 horsepower (depending on the modification), as well as a 3-liter diesel engine with 275 horsepower. The first option was borrowed from Chrysler, and the second from the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

In 2020, a restyling was carried out, which changed the radiator grille, and a larger 10.1-inch screen appeared in the cabin. Among the technical innovations, there is a second-generation autopilot, which allows for autonomous driving at speeds up to 145 km/h. In addition, a hybrid version was introduced, accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and having a total power of 580 horsepower.

Despite its rich history, the car did not become popular in our country - its price tag and relatively expensive maintenance played a role. Only a small number of copies are present on domestic roads. But even for them, the "Mosavtoshina" online store will find tires and wheels in various sizes.
